In 1986, Department 56 released two new collections made of resin- Victorian Miniatures and Williamsburg Miniatures. These buildings were not based on existing village buildings or and large scale porcelain collection.
The Victorian Miniatures are a set of two and consists of two buildings, a church and a Tudor style home. The pieces are considerably larger than most other CCP buildings released. Each building was wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged in individual, heavy corrugated, top-load cardboard boxes with black and white graphics of the building on the front.
